Enterprise account domain restriction
ShotDeck takes security seriously — protecting your team’s decks and creative work is a top priority. Whether decks are used for pitches, treatments, or personal inspiration, keeping your organization’s intellectual property safe is essential.
Security Features for Enterprise Accounts
Enterprise accounts come with a range of tools to safeguard your organization from unauthorized access and misuse, including:
- IP address whitelisting – restrict access to approved networks
- Email domain restrictions – limit account access to trusted company domains
- Robust password requirements – enforce strong, secure logins
- Session expiration – protect against unattended accounts
- Team management tools – allow managers to search, categorize, and oversee team members
What Is Domain Restriction?
Domain restriction ensures that only users with approved email addresses can join your enterprise account. For example, if you set a restriction for elitefilmproductions.com, only users with an @elitefilmproductions.com email address will be able to register and gain access.
How to Enable Domain Restriction
- Go to your Enterprise Manager’s Account Page.
- Enter the domain(s) you want to allow (everything after the “@” in an email address).
- Save your changes.
- You can add, edit, or delete domains at any time.
💡 Note: Subdomains are treated separately. For example, testname@shotdeck.com and testname@help.shotdeck.com would require both shotdeck.com and help.shotdeck.com to be listed.
If you leave the domain field blank, anyone with an email address can join your organization (up to your seat limit).

Best Practices
- Compile an approved domain list that includes employees, partners, or any trusted collaborators.
- For large accounts, use divisions to manage groups of users more effectively.
- Educate your team about strong password use and reporting suspicious activity.
- Monitor and audit regularly to ensure only the right people have access.
Staying Secure
Domain restrictions are a proactive way to strengthen your organization’s security, complementing other measures like IP whitelisting and account monitoring. Safeguarding your intellectual property isn’t just best practice — it’s essential to your organization’s long-term success.
